JOHN "Chief AJ" Huffer
John "Chief AJ" Huffer was a renowned exhibition shooter and held a Guinness World Record for his impressive slingshot marksmanship. Born on Christmas Day, 1937, and adopted by a family in Illinois, he was a man of many talents. Huffer served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was a champion bodybuilder, and even had a passion for cryptozoology, famously capturing footage of alleged "Thunderbirds" in 1977.
However, he was best known for his incredible accuracy with both slingshots and rifles. At the age of 70, he secured his place in the Guinness Book of World Records for hitting the most aerial targets with a slingshot. Huffer was a passionate advocate for shooting sports and even developed his own shooting techniques and products. He sadly passed away in March 2022, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest exhibition shooters of all time.
